The Marguerite Dixon House provides safe, secure, temporary accommodation for women and their children who are directly fleeing abuse. They offer support, information, and referrals. Accept donations of toys, clothing, and household items through Deer Lake United Church (604-299-4211), from 9 am to 1 pm Tuesday to Friday.

The Edmonds Youth Resource Centre is a drop-in centre that provides a safe space for at-risk youth, ages 13 to 18. Youth can access clothing, personal hygiene products, hot meals, one-to-one support, crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and referral.
Open during the evenings, Wednesday to Friday; call for details.
